Pumpkin Spice Smoothie Recipe
As fall is arriving, mornings are getting a bit crisp. There are pumpkin and pumpkin spice products everywhere in the stores. We want to try everything right from pumpkin spice lattes to pumpkin cake but we hold ourselves back due to all the sugar and food colouring in the store-bought products. So this recipe is for everyone who wants to satisfy their sweet tooth but also wants to put something nutritious in their body.
So let’s get right to the recipe for this amazing breakfast smoothie.
(makes 3 servings)
Ingredients:
1 scoop organic vanilla protein powder or a tetra pack of ready to drink an organic vanilla protein shake (choose all organic non-GMO plant-based product which is low in sugar or has organic Stevia)
1 cup of organic almond milk or organic oat milk
3 tbsp pumpkin spice
1.5 cups of pumpkin puree (boil the pumpkin and make the puree in a blender. Let it cool down or you can buy organic pumpkin puree from a store)
1 small piece of ginger
1 tsp cardamom (optional)
1 tsp of organic raw honey ( optional) Taste your smoothie before you add honey. If you want it to be sweeter then only add honey
1 cup of ice
1 pinch of organic turmeric powder
Steps:
Blend all the ingredients together in a blender.
Enjoy.
This recipe is high in protein, fiber, and healthy carbohydrates. The ginger, cinnamon from pumpkin spice, and turmeric have anti-inflammatory properties.
