Greek yogurt, banana, and Chia seed pudding

Start your day right with a nutritious healthy breakfast.

Ingredients:

  • 0.5 cup of plain nonfat organic Greek yogurt

  • 1 banana

  • 1 tbs raw organic honey

  • 2 tbs chia seeds

  • .5 cup almond milk or low-fat coconut milk or coconut almond milk

  • dash of cinnamon powder

  • dash of nutmeg powder

  • 1-2 drops of vanilla essence

  • dash of cardamom powder ( optional)

Steps:

  1. Mash 1 ripe banana in a bowl.

  2. Add 1/2 cup of Greek yogurt and mix until smooth.

  3. Add honey, Chia seeds, and 1/2 cup of almond milk.

  4. Add vanilla essence, nutmeg, cinnamon, and cardamom.

  5. Mix everything and pour it into an airtight glass container. Refrigerate it overnight.

  6. In the morning, scoop it in a glass bowl. Garnish with thin banana slices and top with raspberries or pomegranate or strawberries, or blueberries. If you want, you can also add thin almond slices, crushed pistachios or sunflower seeds or pumpkin seeds, or roasted coconut flakes to the garnish.

This recipe is quick and easy to make. Greek yogurt is high in protein. Chia seeds are a great source of fiber, protein, and omega-3s. Honey is a natural sweeter and rich in antioxidants. Berries and nuts add lots of flavors, extra crunch, and also have added health benefits.
