Radiant beautiful skin: Is it a rocket science? Heck No!!!
Does it bother you that your skin lacks luster? Do you experience a lack of self-confidence due to lifeless dull skin? Do you feel that youthful radiant looking skin is only for the few lucky ones? If your answer is yes to any of these questions, reach for the nutrients your skin craves. A healthy diet full of omegas, vitamins, and antioxidants makes all the difference between a wrinkled, dull complexion and a fresh, glowing one.
So, what foods are a must for youthful radiant looking skin? As per experts here is the list of food that will help you reclaim the glow and keep wrinkles at bay:
Omega-3 fatty acids, aka “the good fat”
Omega 3s are the type of polyunsaturated fat that helps to maintain healthy cell membranes and unfortunately, your body does not have the capacity to make it naturally hence they must be incorporated into your diet. They support the membranes of your skin cells and helps maintain elasticity. So stock up your pantry with flaxseeds, chia seeds, walnuts, fish oils supplements and incorporate them into your daily diet. You can incorporate the food rich in Omega 3 fatty acids in your recipes or you can put them in smoothies. Add some nuts to your salads. My go-to supplement is Nutrilite™ Balanced Health Omega.
Vitamins A, C, and E will light up your face with a healthy glow
Vitamins and minerals are micronutrients that support our bodies in various ways and when it comes to youthful skin nothing can beat A, C, and E so ACE with A, C, and E. Vitamin A nourishes both the upper and lower layers of skin. Vitamin C supports collagen tissue. Vitamin E absorbs energy from UV light to help prevent damage to your skin. Foods like leafy dark greens, eggs, and avocados are your skin’s best buddies.
My skincare routine incorporates Vitamin C-rich serum-like Artistry™ Intensive Skincare Advanced Vitamin C + HA Treatment.
Antioxidants
Antioxidants help fight cell-damaging free radicals and stop the damage to our healthy cells. They also slow down the aging process. Berries and dark chocolates are the best sources of antioxidants. Go ahead and grab a bowlful of blueberries, pomegranates, elderberries, cranberries, strawberries as a snack or add them to your smoothies. Pair them with dark chocolate if you want as it’s rich in antioxidants, too!
Hydrate your skin
We all know that skin is the largest organ in our body. Also, we know that 60% of our body is water hence all our organs including skin needs to stay hydrated. Dehydrated skin is flaky, dry, dull, and wrinkly. Aim to drink at least eight, 8-ounce glasses per day to rehydrate and flush toxins. Bored of plain water, add some natural flavors or fruits to it. My favorite is Nutrilite™ Twist Tubes 2GO Antioxidant Health. They are an excellent source of vitamins A and C and support skin health.
