Spiced Apples

This warm breakfast is very light to digest and can be prepared quickly. Also for someone who has slow, sluggish digestion lightly cooked apples are easier to digest compared to raw apples. The recipe serves 3 people.

Ingredients:

1 tablespoon ghee

2 large apples (thinly sliced)

2 tablespoons chopped walnuts or pecans

1 tablespoon chopped raisins

1 teaspoon pumpkin spice or 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon powder, a pinch of dry ginger powder.

Method:

In a skillet, warm ghee and pumpkin spice mix on medium heat. Add apple slices to the pan and stir well so that they are properly coated with the spices.

Add raisins and chopped walnuts.

Cook on a medium flame for 5-6 minutes till the slices are half-cooked. Stir frequently so that they do not burn or stick to the pan.

Transfer to the warm, serve warm and enjoy.
