Ayurvedic Hair Growth Oil Recipe

Ingredients: (Opt for Organic non-GMO ingrediants if possible)

  • Bhringraj Oil: 100 ml

  • Amla Oil: 100 ml

  • Brahmi Oil: 100 ml

  • Castor Oil: 100 ml

  • Neem oil: 50 ml

  • Blackseed oil: 50 ml

  • Coconut Oil: 100 ml

  • Rosemary Oil: 50 ml

  • Vitamin E Oil: 50 ml

  • Fenugreek Seeds powder: 2 tablespoons

  • Henna Powder: 2 tablespoons

  • Indigo Powder: 2 tablespoons

  • Amla powder: 2 tablespoons

  • Bhringraj powder: 2 tablespoons

  • Flaxseeds powder: 2 tablespoons

  • Jatamamsi powder: 2 tablespoons

  • Brahmi powder: 2 tablespoons

  • Hibiscus Leaves and Flowers: 1/2 cup

  • Curry Leaves: 1/2 cup

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Base: Mix the coconut oil with the Bhringraj oil, Amla oil, Brahmi oil, Castor oil, Neem oil, and Blackseed oil in a large pan (if possible use a cast iron pan).

  2. Add Herbs: Add the fenugreek seed powder, Bhringraj powder, Brahmi powder, Amla powder, Flaxseeds powder, Jatamamsi powder, henna powder, Indigo powder, hibiscus leaves and flowers, and curry leaves to the oil mixture. Mix well.

  3. Heating Process: Heat the mixture on a low flame, stirring continuously, until the herbs are well-infused (about 30 minutes). The oil should not boil but should be warm enough to extract the essence of the herbs.

  4. Cooling and Straining: Let the oil cool down completely and let it sit for 24 hours. Strain the oil to remove the solid ingredients. Add Rosemary oil and Vitamin E oil. Mix well. Fill up the glass bottle. Store in a cool dry place. Massage it in your scalp twice a week. Leave it in for 1-2 hours and wash it with a homemade shampoo made with Amla, Aritha, and Shikakai.

  5. Stear away of harmful chemicals in your hair products: Do not use chemical or commercial hair color for effective results. Also, please don’t use commercial shampoo but if you need to use one stick to sulpher-free paraben-free products if you have to use it.   6. Diet and lifestyle: For the best results with this hair oil, it's essential to pair its use with a nutritious diet and a balanced lifestyle. Reduce spicy and oily foods. Reduce sugar.
